Isabel Alden
MS, LPC-IT, CRC
While my personal practice incorporates a variety of therapeutic techniques as well as an appreciation for the relationship between physiological health and mental wellness, I mainly approach the process of individual change and growth from an existential-humanistic mindset. I seek to help my clients find meaning and purpose, live in accordance with their values, and meet life’s many challenges with confidence and contentment—without changing what makes them unique. The best stories come with a heaping dose of conflict and adversity; it’s how we rise to these challenges that defines who we are.
I began working at Shore Clinic in an administrative capacity to learn the inner workings of a mental health practice as I pursued my M.S. and professional counseling license under the clinical supervision of Ellen Reid, LPC. Now, I enjoy putting my education and perspective towards the benefit of my clients by integrating the latest evidence-based practices with a holistic, individualized approach to therapy.
All individuals, backgrounds, and concerns are more than welcome in my office; however, I especially encourage individuals to reach out if they are struggling with any of the following:
Mood disorders, anxiety and/or depression
Disability, impairment or chronic pain/illness
Trauma and stressor-related concerns such as PTSD
Grief, loss and/or complicated bereavement
Problems with sleep, stress or substance use
Complex family or relationship dynamics
Life transitions, vocational or relationship issues
Isabel is currently accepting new clients. Isabel offers in person sessions at our Mayfair office as well as tele-health sessions.
